♻️ Primo3D’s Recycling Initiative
Turning Plastic Waste into Purpose — With Your Help
At Primo3D, we’re launching a closed-loop recycling system that transforms discarded plastic into new 3D printer filament — and then into functional tools, prototypes, and parts that serve our community.
The problem? 3D printing waste is piling up. Failed prints, scraps, and packaging often end up in landfills. With the industry growing over 23% annually, the need for a sustainable solution is urgent.
We're answering that call — but we can't do it alone.
🌱 What We’re Building:
We’re currently in the process of setting up our in-house recycling center, and we need community support to help us get it off the ground.
Our plan includes:
Collecting failed PLA prints, PETG scraps, and clean plastic bottles
Shredding & cleaning the plastic using industrial-grade equipment
Re-extruding it into high-quality, recycled filament
Using that filament to print useful tools, parts, and education-focused models for local organizations
🤝 How You Can Help:
We’re calling on makers, educators, businesses, and residents to get involved:
✅ Sort and donate your 3D printing plastic waste
✅ Host or join a pickup location in your area
✅ Support our setup costs with a one-time or recurring donation
✅ Spread the word to help us grow a circular economy
📦 Be Part of the Change
We're not just reducing waste — we’re building a local supply chain that’s cleaner, cheaper, and more community-driven. And you can be part of it from day one.
